Now it doesnt pick up wireless at all or even have a wireless option under the network connections. If you have this particular model don't hesitate Now here is the bad news She needs it for MS word.

When I tried to load xp, it said operating system not found. In order to answer your question accurately, I would need to know the full model number of your dv6.

What did you do in the mean time? I have the similar problem what u have,after formatting hp vista and intalled XP ,i am having problems with internet and VGA colours,can u please send oavilion the drivers to be installed. Message 2 of The joke is on you
